From Bike Riding Lessons to Guided Adventures — What’s Coming Next at Pedalwise

When we launched Pedalwise, our goal was to help more people take their first confident steps into the world of cycling. But from day one, we’ve known that learning to ride is just the beginning. It’s the foundation on which an entire cycling journey can be built — one that leads not only to independence, but also to exploration, connection, and joy.
That’s why we’re building toward something bigger — a full journey of cycling experiences that continue well after the stabilisers (or fears) come off. We believe that once someone learns to ride, the next step is to ride more — in new places, with new people, and for new reasons.

In the next year, we’ll be introducing guided cycling experiences across the UK, with a focus on fun, inclusive, and professionally led adventures. These will include:

• Family rides with picnic stops, games, and gentle routes through local parks or greenways. These outings give children the chance to build confidence while spending meaningful time with family in a relaxed setting.
• Birthday party ride sessions hosted in safe, traffic-free zones with built-in activities and games tailored to the age group. It’s a fresh alternative to traditional birthday parties — fun, active, and memorable.
• Beginner-friendly adult rides that help newer cyclists gain road confidence, learn group riding etiquette, and explore local routes in a welcoming, social environment. These rides are ideal for those returning to cycling after years away or discovering it for the first time.
• Stag and hen party experiences on two wheels, with themed routes and optional pub stops — combining light-hearted fun with a unique shared experience. Think of it as a mini cycling adventure to remember.

These aren’t competitive events or high-pressure challenges — they’re about exploring, socialising, and using your new skill to unlock even more freedom. We want to celebrate cycling as a shared experience, where riders of all abilities feel welcome and supported.

Each experience will be designed and led by the trusted Pedalwise coaching team, who bring the same structure, care, and encouragement that make our lessons so effective. Sessions will be grouped by ability and interest to make sure no one feels left behind. We’ll also work closely with local councils, venues, and partners to develop scenic, safe routes — often featuring parks, heritage trails, canals, and quiet backroads.

Alongside these adventures, we’re also developing a series of Progression Pathways — structured follow-up sessions and mini-courses. These go beyond the basics and help riders develop more advanced skills like:

• Smooth cornering and gear changes
• Confident group riding
• Understanding road safety and hand signals
• Navigating hills and varied terrain
• Building stamina for longer rides

Imagine a learner who starts with a single Pedalwise session — then comes back to master turning and braking, joins a friendly group ride, and later books a guided adventure to celebrate a birthday. That’s the journey we’re working to create: a continuous arc of learning, growth, and joyful riding.

And we’re not stopping there. We’re exploring partnerships with schools, youth groups, and corporate wellness programs to bring these experiences to even more people. We want Pedalwise to become a hub not just for learning to ride — but for living through cycling.

Because to us, riding is about more than balance. It’s about belonging. It’s about confidence. It’s about building experiences and memories that last long after the wheels stop turning.

So if you’ve just completed your first Pedalwise session — or you’re cheering someone on who has — stay tuned. This is just the beginning. Your next cycling adventure might be just around the corner.
