Pedalwise Bike Classes for kids – Terms & Information
At Pedalwise, children attending our bike classes do not need their parent or guardian present during the session itself, but an adult must remain at the venue for the duration of the class.
Please ensure your child arrives wearing suitable footwear and clothing for cycling activities.
All children must wear a properly fitted cycling helmet to participate.
It is the responsibility of the parent or carer to ensure that their child’s pedal bike is the correct size and is safe to use.
Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
If you cancel at least two weeks before the course date, you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the class date are non-refundable; however, we will offer an alternative class where possible.
In the event that Pedalwise cancels a session, we will arrange an alternative date and venue. On occasion, Pedalwise may have to change the venue for a session, we will seek to find a new venue as close as possible to the original. Class cancellations and venue changes will be advised with at least 48 hours’ notice. Refunds will not be issued in these cases.
If a child arrives without a bike to ride, they will not be able to take part and no refund will be given.
Should a class be cancelled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity, and no refund will be issued.
During booking, you will be asked for consent for us to take photographs during classes for promotional use. By giving consent, you allow Pedalwise to use these images in our promotional materials across social media channels including Facebook and Instagram.
You give permission for our instructors to make minor adjustments to your child’s bike during sessions to ensure their comfort and safety while riding.
To effectively teach, our coaches may need to physically support or guide children to help with balance, movement, and safety. This may include placing a hand on the back, shoulders, torso, or feet.
While parent participation is not required, we understand that witnessing your child’s progress is important. Coaches will not discourage your involvement, but if you choose to participate, Pedalwise coaches cannot be held responsible for any dissatisfaction regarding the time spent with individual children, and no refunds will be issued on this basis.
Coaches do not allocate set times per child, as each child’s learning pace and physical ability to pedal independently will differ. This will be explained at the start of each session to ensure all parents and carers understand.
Pedalwise accepts no liability for children using their own bikes during classes.
At the end of each class, children are assessed and awarded either Level 1, 1-2, or 2. Level 2 indicates the child can start, stop, and pedal independently. Certificates are awarded based on these levels. Children assessed at Level 1 or 1-2 may benefit from attending an additional class to further develop their skills.
By agreeing to our Terms & Conditions, you accept the commitments outlined in our Pedal Promise. We will provide FREE follow-up classes where needed, arranged at times convenient to the customer wherever possible. However, if a parent or carer is unable to attend a free follow-up session, no refund will be given for non-attendance.
