Good afternoon,

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Harry for such tremendous coaching.
Our daughter was able to cycle on her own just 45 minutes into the session, such a big achievement!
We truly appreciate it.

Kindest regards

Absolutely worth every penny. We have a nervous daughter that was so scared.....took her 2 sessions to overcome a lot but she was cycling on her own by the end and she had fun doing it. She point blank refused to learn with us parents. 100% recommended. Harry is an absolute superstar and clearly enjoys it too.

What a great session. My 8 and 10 year old were given the time and patience to give them full confidence to cycle for the first time. Thank you so much
We had an excellent experience with Pedalwise for my son’s cycling lessons. Harry was absolutely fantastic.

He travelled all the way from Kent to Leighton Buzzard to teach my son, which truly shows his dedication and commitment. He arrived right on time, was very professional, and delivered the lessons extremely well. The indoor venue was safe, well organised, and perfect for building confidence.

Harry is such a kind, calm, and friendly person. His patience and thoughtful approach helped my son learn very quickly. He even took extra time to guide him outdoors once he was ready, which we really appreciated. That extra effort made a big difference.

Pedalwise is a trustworthy and reliable service, and the training was very well executed from start to finish.

I’m genuinely grateful to Harry for his hard work and dedication. I highly recommend him and Pedalwise to anyone looking for safe and effective cycling lessons.

Thank you so much, Harry!

Best £100 I ever spent!!!!! My son went from never being on a bike or scooter to being able to ride CONFIDENTLY in under 55 minutes! He didn't even need the full lesson. These guys are amazing. Even when he fell off (and I truly thought that would be the end of it) they got him back on with just a brief chat. Super encouraging with a system that clearly works. It was great to be able to watch it happen rather than be in the middle of it. Thanks for taking all the stress away from me.

Really great service. We were kept updated before the session on where it would be and what to expect. On the day itself, the instructor was kind and patient and our son was riding after 90 minutes. He’s now riding around with his friends confidently.

Kids Bike Riding Lessons High Wycombe

Our Kids Bike Riding Lessons High Wycombe are designed to help children learn in a calm, positive and encouraging environment. Every child develops confidence differently, which is why our instructors focus on steady progression and supportive coaching rather than pressure.

Whether your child is completely new to cycling or struggling to move away from stabilisers, our structured lessons help simplify the learning process and make cycling feel far less intimidating. Sessions focus on the key foundations of cycling, including balance, steering, braking and independent riding.

High Wycombe offers some excellent locations for young riders to practise safely between lessons. Areas such as The Rye, Hughenden Park and quieter local green spaces provide open environments where children can continue building confidence away from busy roads.

Many families find that combining structured coaching with regular short practice sessions locally helps children progress much faster and enjoy the learning process more.

Private and Adult Cycling Lessons

Private Bike Riding Lessons High Wycombe

Our Private Bike Riding Lessons High Wycombe provide personalised one-to-one coaching for children, adults and families looking for a more flexible alternative to group classes. Private lessons allow instructors to tailor every session to the individual rider, making them an excellent option for complete beginners, nervous learners or anyone who would benefit from dedicated support.

Many adults choose private lessons when learning to ride later in life or returning to cycling after a long break. However, private coaching can be equally valuable for children who learn best with individual attention, as well as families who would like to learn together in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Some riders come to us with no previous cycling experience, while others may already be able to ride but want help improving confidence, balance, bike handling skills or general cycling ability. Every lesson is adapted to the rider’s experience level, goals and pace of learning.

High Wycombe offers an excellent setting for private cycling lessons, with a combination of local parks, traffic-free paths, quiet residential areas and easy access to the surrounding Chiltern countryside. These varied environments allow learners to build confidence progressively while developing the skills needed to ride independently. Whether your goal is learning from scratch, building confidence or enjoying family bike rides together, our private lessons provide a structured and enjoyable route towards becoming a confident cyclist.

Why High Wycombe is a Great Place to Learn to Ride

High Wycombe is one of the strongest locations locally for beginner cycling because it offers a combination of open parks, traffic-free practice areas and nearby countryside riding. This gives new riders the opportunity to learn in relaxed environments before gradually building towards longer and more varied rides.

Some of the best local places for beginner cycling practice include:

  • The Rye
  • Hughenden Park
  • The Phoenix Trail nearby
  • Westhorpe Park
  • Quiet Chiltern countryside routes
  • Local shared-use park pathways

These areas provide a mixture of smooth surfaces, open space and quieter riding environments that work particularly well for children, nervous beginners and returning adult cyclists.

As riders gain confidence, High Wycombe also provides easy access to the wider Chiltern Hills area, which is well known for family cycling, woodland riding and recreational mountain biking routes.

Why Learn to Ride with Pedalwise

A One-Time Investment in a Lifetime Skill

We know Pedalwise is not the cheapest option — and that is intentional. What we provide is not simply a short lesson, but a structured learning experience designed to build genuine long-term cycling confidence.

Learning to ride a bike opens the door to independence, fitness, freedom and adventure. It is a skill that many people use for the rest of their lives, which is why we believe it is worth learning properly from the beginning.

We also believe in removing pressure from the learning process. That is why we offer the Pedalwise Guarantee: if a rider does not pass Level 1 during their first session, they can return free of charge until they do. No hidden conditions, no extra fees — just ongoing support until success is achieved.

Most riders only require one or two sessions, but if additional help is needed, our instructors continue working patiently and positively until confidence develops.

It’s Not About Price, It’s About Progress

Parents sometimes ask why professional lessons cost more than informal help from friends or family. The answer is simple: our instructors are trained to understand behaviour, confidence, learning styles and safe cycling techniques. We use a structured system that has helped children and adults of all ages learn successfully.

When you book a Pedalwise lesson, you are not simply paying for time — you are investing in proven coaching methods designed to make learning safer, easier and more enjoyable.
